AYO 2018 Audition in Manila

2018 Auditions off to a good start over the weekend in Manila. Great to see the excitement in Mr. Pontzious’ eyes as the candidates gave it their all to show their respect to AYO. Many thanks to violin coach Thanos Adamopoulos for flying in from Brussels to hear the auditions with Mr. P. “On the whole the level was pushed higher than ever," which is very impressive and wonderful to hear in the Philippines, said Thanos. Next stops Bangkok, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, but we’re back in August with the whole of AYO for two performances in the CCP, the Cultural Centre of the Philippines. Our thanks to former AYO concertmaster Gina Medina for laying the ground work for our return to Manila after 14 years!!!
